Packaging Standards

Stack ten tie plates in each of 16 rows in alternating fashion, one row up and the other down. The plates are to be separated into two bundles with a .375″ plywood divider on edge in the center of the pallet.
A 1.25″ non-metallic band is used to secure each group of 32 plates to the pallet for a total of five. Two 2.5″ x .5″ x 38.75″ boards are placed across the center of the stacks of plates over and perpendicular to the first five non-metallic bands. A 1.25″ non-metallic band is then placed over each board to secure the plates to the pallet transversely for a total of two bands. The pallet is of special design and made of hardwood.
