Packaging Standards

Place up to five hitch heads face down over a returnable stacking device consisting of a 32″ steel rod welded to a 12″ x 12″ steel base plate which is placed at the center of a 36″ x 36″ hardwood pallet. Each head is placed over the rod through the king-pin opening. Some heads may need to be further stabilized by placing up to two 4″ x 4″ wooden blocks and possibly a 2″ x 4″ board between each of the first four heads in the package (total of 8 blocks and/or 4 boards). The pieces are attached to the pallet with two 1.25″ non-metallic bands.
