Packaging Standards

Six handbrakes are placed shaft up on a pallet. Two additional units are placed shaft down in the center of the first layer for a total of eight handbrakes. The brake levers must not extend beyond the perimeter of the pallet and the chains must be taut and secured to the lever of each handbrake by either looping the trailing link over it or by attaching with a twist tie. The handbrake nut and cotter key are attached to each shaft while the clevis and rivet must be placed in a bag which must then be attached to each of the handbrakes.
The handbrakes are secured to the pallet with stretch wrap. Steel bands are not required.
