Packaging Standards

The special 40″ x 48″ pallet is constructed entirely of hardwood. The two 4″ x 4″ x 40″ runners are spaced 30″ OD apart. The risers mustbe spaced correctly in order to permit stacking pallets of either male or female articulated connectors on top of one another. The four deck boards are 2″ x 6″ x 48″. Spacing between the 1st and 2nd and between the 3rd and 4th boards is 7.5″. The center spacing between the 2nd and 3rd deck boards is minimal (<3″). The four connectors are placed end to end on the pallet. A 1.25″ non-metallic band is used to secure each of the two adjacent connectors to the pallet for a total of two bands. A 1.25″ non-metallic band is then used to secure the two end to end connectors to each other for a total of four non-metallic bands.
