Packaging Standards

Place five gear cases with open ends facing down on a special pallet consisting of two 2″ x 4″ x 36″ runners, two 1″ x 4″ stringers and three 1″ x 4″ deck boards. Two 2″ x 4″ x 32″ boards are placed across the top of the gear cases. Two 1″ x 2″ x 20″ spacer strips are attached to the top boards and the middle deck board between each gear case for a total of eight spacers.
Two .75″ non-metallic bands are placed over the top boards to secure the gear cases to the pallet.
