Packaging Standards

Place two layers of five slack adjusters each on the pallet. The adjusters are to be laid parallel to each other in an alternating fashion. Two 1″ x 4″ x 23″ boards (no nails) are placed between the layers as spacers. Two boards (2″ x 4″ x 18.50″) are placed on top of the bundle which is then secured to the pallet with two 1.25″ non-metallic bands. The pallet deck is constructed of four 1″ x 4″ x 85″ boards on four stringers. The two end ones are 2″ x 4″ x 27″ and the two middle ones are 4″ x 4″ x 27″. Four risers are put on the deck. The two end risers are 1″ x 4″ x 27″ and the two middle risers are 1″ x 8″ x 27″. Control rods must be secured/attached to each slack adjuster.
