Packaging Standards

Place three layers of 9, 8, & 8 slack adjusters on a pallet. The adjusters are to be kaid parallel to each other in an alternating fashion. Two 1″ x 4″ x 40″ boards (no nails) are put between the first and second layers as spacers and two 1″ x 4″ x 37.50″ boards are put between the second and third layers. Two 2″ x 4″ x 34″ boards are placed on top of the bundle which is then secured to the pallet with two 1.25″ non-metallic bands. The pallet deck is made of six 1″ x 4″ x 85″ boards on four stringers. The two end ones are 2″ x 4″ x 44″, the two middle ones are 4″ x 4″ x 44″. Four risers are put on the deck. The two end risers are 1″ x 4″ x 44″ and the two middle ones are 1″ x 8″ x 44″. Control rods must be secured to each slack adjuster.
